Suggestion for a new forum

Thank you for the suggestions.  I appreciate them.  Feedback is vital to me.

The primary purpose for these new forums, from what I gather from reading here, is to cut down on the number of "redundant" and "bonehead" posts in the rod and reels section.

I can understand how annoying it can be reading these posts after being here for quite some time.  After awhile, it seems the new and unique posts are few and far between.  And most of these posts seem to come from new members.

While this can get old to some, keep in mind that new members are the life blood of any community, be it a bass club, forum, or whatever.  "Newbies" are full of questions, and as "old timers", it's our responsibility to help them.  Lord knows we needed the help when we were first starting.  ;D

The key is to remember that you are stewards of the sport.  Each new member is as important as the most seasoned, and should be treated as such.

Sure it can be annoying answering the same question over and over, knowing full well that if they used the search feature they'd find answers.  But just sit back and smile, as you remind yourself it's a sign the sport is growing.
