Unbelievable! Even for a banker....

I've always thought Countrywide had some pretty decieving ads.  In all honesty, I"m sure most of them are fairly crooked.

If you read the whole story it truly is sad that folks go through this everyday right now.

Not being a money man, that's one thing I could never understand.  Why cost someone out of a house that will sit empty and make no money, when you could refinance for the owner and have an income coming in off of that property?  Don't make sense.

Although I don't have an answer to that I'm sure there are tax writeoffs and what nots that may provide instant relief to the mortgage company.  Remember, it's all about the almighty dollar!

My new motto: anybody who has worked in Banking,Insuance  or any kind of energy market for more than 10 years is not to be trusted. It is wholesale and rampant through out the whole industry. They think what they do is OK and above reproach.

So, basically, the mortgage companies expect mercy/tax advantages, etc. but aren't willing to extend said mercy themselves.  There's something written in the good book about that.
