Writing about poetry sucks! I picked this poem, because it was about death and that how I feel when I got to write about poetry or any paper in general.

I nearly turn that in to my professor.

i remember last year we were learning about poetry and we had to write a poem. i was so ticked. i ended up writing my poem about how much i hate writing poems. my teacher thought it was clever.

poetry is retarded. :-X

ODE TO TEENS

Young men do try to demean

those things they've never seen

and places they've never been.

They know they are ignorant.

Give poetry a chance.  I took it in college and at first I thought I would hate it.  I was fortunate to get a good professor who went above and beyond teaching it.  It turned out to be my favorite class.

Dude, I am! My professor is insane! I'm accounting major with minor in finance. What the heck do I care? I mean I don't want hurt people feelings that do love poetry, but it just not for me. That all I'm saying.

The only poetry I like are music, but I don't want to write a paper on it. Reason is...I feel I'm more productive doing other things rather then writing papers on poetry. All I'm saying.

Hmmm.... What the F kind of poem is this? Yeah, I have no idea.

check out some Samuel Taylor Coleridge (Kubla Khan, Ryme of the Ancient Mariner)

or Whitman

or ee cummings

some of that stuff is really cool

Rush and Iron Maiden both did kick *** songs based on Coleridge poems (see above)

and Whitman is totally a "man's" poet as is Longfellow

ee cummings just wrote some really cool alliteratives

Looks like a Westernization of Haiku. Every Course we take does not have to equal a dollar value on the outside. Classic Western Study turns out well rounded students

You will be surprised how much there is to learn how we think through the poets and great writers of the past. From Keats to Joyce and Frost and beyond there is an inedible amount of literature that explains how we got here. Which is important for figuring out where we need to go

Exactly my belief. Only thing old that is interesting is Ancient History. Those mad Romans were FUNNY!
