geocaching

I have a fishing buddy that is really into it. Every trip he has his caches mapped out and we will stop at the ones that are close to the main road. It's kinda cool. It's like treasure hunting..... minus the million dollars in gold!!! :-? :-? :-?

I saw this thread in Dec and did some research.  Then I forgot about it with the holidays and all.  Last weekend my 12 year old and I were looking for something to do together that did not involve fishing and I stumbled across my notes from December.  So we dug out my old garmin 76, put in some new batteries and off we went.  Now my wife and daughter are hooked.  This is a fun activity for the whole family.

Neve heard of it.  What is it?

Theres a spot someone started right in front of my parents house.  Saw someone fooling around it one day around Christmas a few years ago, and didn't know what was going on.
