Ipod question

Featured Replies

Hey guys I have the 5th generation ipod the 30gb ipod video one and i've pretty much given up on it but i kinda want to start using it again but it gets really frustrating. So here's the problem, for some reason no matter what headphones go in the ipod it only plays out of one side of the headphones, I have tried numerous pairs of headphones and wasted money and new ones and it still only plays out of one side. This happened about 6 months ago and I tried to keep bringing it to the gym but it was hard to focus with just one headphone quietly working so i stopped using. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Any way to fix it, I really don't have the money to go out and buy a new one right now...Thanks,

Dave

If a reset doesn't work I'd see if Apple could fix it. If not, I'd say it is done.

BUY A ZUNE! ;)

BUY A ZUNE! ;)

Zunes are bricks man! If he was lugging a zune around all day he wouldn't need to go to the gym to work out! I love iPods, I carry my ipod classic around all day and its slim enough to fit in my pocket comfortably.

The ear phone jack must have broken off of the circuit board. There are several place that repair them. I would agree with .dsaaverda. get a zune.

the zune is like an eighth of an inch taller! and plus, the zune's screen owns ipod screens ;) so the extra eighth of an inch is worth it if you ask me. and they're the same thickness too.

sounds like the jack is broken off in the ipod, you can rewire your headphones so that they play mono and not stereo, just split the one wire that does work into two and it should play fine.
