I can't figure out why the stoopid game keeps counting my check-mates as a draw.  My understanding is that a draw is when your respective kings are un-check-matable.   Seems everytime I check-mate the computer, it counts it as a draw.  But if it check mates me, it's a computer win.   >:(

This is a check mate.  The computer's king has nowhere to go.  But it's a drsaw????    >:( >:(

Technically, I believe that is a draw.  Where the King is situated now it is not in check and there is no place for him to go that would not put him in check.  Since you can't move yourself in to check, it is a draw.

I'd have a hard time admitting I was still using Vista.

this is exactly what i was thinking...

Yeh its a draw, Kings not in check. Thus no "Check"mate. I do like the Vista chess though.

OK, I haven't read the rules since I was a kid. The king isn't in check, but he can't move. My king can. So I thought it was a check mate. Oh yell. I'll swallow my pride and admit the game is right. Argghhhh.

Just doesn't seem right. I kick *** and its a draw. >:( ;D

I havent played chess in a year or two, but we have 2 or 3 boards setup here at work.  Used to have one setup between my desk and the guy beside of mine before I moved.  For awhile I could checkmate him in about 6 moves.  I just had to use the tactic every 3 or 4 games so he wouldnt be thinking of it.

Must be a manufacturer specific product.  No sign of it on this laptop.
