Backpacking tent

Looking for a 2 man tent I can pack into high country lakes this summer. I was wondering if any of you guys have recomendations. The cheaper the better. The weather is very very stable here in the summer, so something with a modicum of wind and water tightness is all i need.

I will be sharing this with my girl who is only 5'4" 108lbs, so as long as it is long enough for my 6'8" frame space shouldnt be a problem for anything listed as a 2 man.

As long as we can fit in it, the main concerns are price, effectiveness, and weight, in that order. Thanks guys!

Also, any input on the MOST packable 30ish degree sleeping bags would be welcome.

i have not used many 2 man tents but i will give you a few brands that i have read good reviews about

msr

black diamond

mountain hardware

sierra designs

big agnes

if you plan on using it with someone other than your gf, id go ahead and get a 3 man tent. its very important to buy a tent with a full rain fly. vestibules are very nice to have to keep your gear dry. if you buy a footprint make sure it goes INSIDE the tent or you will create a bathtub if it rains. make sure you get some good sleeping pads.

EDIT: i just realized price is your main concern. check out eureka 2 man tents. i have an older apex 2xt which has kept me dry in rainstorms lasting all night. its not the lightest tent but you cant have it all.
