Went to the ER last night

Featured Replies

I was at the doctor's office with my fiance last night at about 5:00, and I just started feeling bad, like nauseated and stuff.  I was sweating and I started to not be able to see real well.  The next thing I know, there are doctors and nurses all around me asking questions and stuff.  I was only out for about a minute, but when I fell, I took a pretty good bump on the head, so they sent me to the Emergency Room.

The whole time, I couldn't see very well, but my speech was fine.  When we got to the hospital, they put me into a bed, and my words stopped making sense.  So they did some blood work and hooked me up to only God-knows-what.  I got to leave at about 9:30 last night. I'm fine now, I just have a small head ache whenever I get out of bed. It's getting better though.

That sucks man, What did they diagnosis you with?

Not being a doctor it would be wrong to give an opinion as to a diagnosis.  Being at the hospital I'm sure just basic tests were run and sincce you were released so quick, I would assume the professionals thought there was nothing life threatening.  Had they given any instructions to "aftercare"?

A complete physical is never a bad idea.

They think that I passed out because of emotional stress.   They said that today I need to rest as much as possible, take some motrin and stuff.

I'm only twenty years old, and stuff like this shouldn't be happening. I was pretty upset about the whole ordeal.  My eyesight was what was freaking me out the most.

Nick, with signs that you have listed, I would schedule an appointment with a doctor and maybe have a CT scan done (looks at the brain).  Your health is number one man!  Take care of yourself.

You should be scheduling appointments with a specialist instead of telling us. Go get yourself checked out. Do it quickly.

Good luck and I hope everything is well.

Yeah, man, I got the CT Scan done, and they said that everything was fine.  I just wasn't taking in enough food and water while working outside all day.

yeah, i was going to say it sounds like you needed food water or sugar

You may have passed out due to low blood sugar.

That's the good news.

The bad news is that the brain scan showed nothing!!!!!

Get it, nothing?  Like empty?

Oh well, glad you are feeling better.

Annual physicals are good.  Start getting them, now.  ;)

I actually laughed out loud at your joke. Maybe it's the bump on the head, or maybe it was actually funny.  I think that I will give you the credit.
