I am suggesting to the Mods that BassResource.com have one of these each year in addition to the road trip

For the fellas who actually own all the equipment they say they do and actually catch the fish they say they you,  and have the jobs you say you do:::::::you are all disqualified

For those  secret agent pHD's around here who catch all these undocumented fish and have all this equipment that no one else gets to see THIS IS THE EVENT FOR YOU

Here is how it works

Everyone meets at the hotel

check in and get your registration

fish for 3 days

no one can know if you even have a boat or where it is

all contestants take off from secret places

no cameras, witnesses or documentation of any type allowed

the guy with the best story ( aka line of bs) at the end of each day wins!

Grand prize for the biggest heap of BS over the 3 days

THE WALTER MITTY TROPHY , a bust of James Thurber who wrote the original story!       :D ;D ::)

I'd be in, except that my top secret government job might have me out of the country at the time. Besides, I would beat everyone so badly that they would likely go home, sell their gear and take up miniature golf. I just couldn't have that on my conscience.
