The Back In Time thread

Featured Replies

If you could go back in time and relive one moment, event or time period in history what would it be?

Personally I might have to go back to the Last Waltz with the Band.

Going back to anywhere is a waste of time.Everything that was supposed to happen, already did. I look at life in the day I am in, there is too much to miss, wanting to be somewhere else.  I am a huge music fan, and I love and appreciate what has come before, I really prefer to see who's playing tonight and see whats goin on!

In the past I lived the moment, for good or bad.  There are things I would have done differently, but the past is the past.

To plagiarize the country western song, I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was.

Reruns?  Who's kidding whom?

I don't try to dwell in the past either but I like the idea of going back to witness a historical or noteworthy event. Great post man. :)

It's tough not to pick the 'go back to relive the birth of your kids or your wedding, etc...' you know; the cheesy answer.

I think I'd go back and witness the end of World War II when the Japanese signed the unconditional surrender. The World (the part that wasn't blown all to hell) celebrated the defeat of evil and the U.S. was the lone nuclear power. Simply an outstanding time to be alive.

Only one.

I wish I knew then what I know now and could go back to my senior year in high school and re-approach a very pretty blonde named Cindy Gallion again.

Man, I'd do things a whole lot different!   :D

As a student of history, there are many events I would like to have witnessed in person and people I would like to have spent time with. Here are a few in no particular order...

Events

Constitutional Convention

D-Day

Woodstock

Battle of Agincourt

Battle of the Somme

Battle of Midway

Marianas Turkey Shoot

MLK's I Have a Dream speech

Speeches by Lincoln

Battle of Thermopylae

Led Zeppelin concert

People

Siddh[ch257]rtha Gautama

Ronald Reagan

Benjamin Franklin

go on a safari w/ Teddy Roosevelt

go fishing and drinking w/ Ernest Hemingway

George Patton

Marion Morrison

Go back to Little League and know what i know now and dominate unmercifully. Remember some power ball numbers from when it was over 300 million and fish everyday.Tell Doc that he was going to get shot by the terrorist that he got the Plutonium from.

I would go back to June 2, 1932 and shadow George Perry for the day. :o

I'd go back to May 15th, 1998 and use the whole day spending the last 15 minutes I had with my dad.  Still miss him. :(

X2, I miss my Old Boy also, I could talk and joke with him about anything. I also lost him in 1998. My first beer always goes out to Pa.
