Another Spro Frog question.

Has anyone used silicone or something to seal the holes to get it to float longer?

Yep....just posted it on the other topic you can seal up the holes with a little clear silicone... or ring out the frog every other cast or so.

I usually just ring mine out every cast.  I am usually cleaning weeds/slop off of it anyway, so it isn't really that big of a deal.

I had tried silicone to seal the hole and found that if you seal it completely, the frog won't collapse when a fish hits it.

I read a post on here in the last couple of weeks to seal the opening where the hook eye exits the front of the frog with super glue to solve the problem. I tried it this past weekend and it works great.

dont seal the hole where the hooks come outta the frog ... the frog was designed to have that hole ... if your frog is takeing on water more than likely the nose came lose or unsealed from the hook shank near the line tie ... simpley slide the nose of the frog down the hook ,, put a dab of silicone all around the hook where the nose of the frog should rest ,,,, then slide the nose back over the dab of slicone ... this sould seal that nose back to the hook eye .... and your problems should stop as long as you dont have any other holes beside the hole in the botton of the frog ... ;)

I have had no problems sealing it with silicone. The idea is to just make the hole a little smaller and not totally airtight.
