Kimbo Slice on The Ultimate Fighter 10

Featured Replies

Just saw where Kimbo was going to be on TUF next season.

THAT should be interesting! The guy is brutal and a natural born fighter, but, the MMA events I have seen of him he just does not seem to have the endurance or "skills" needed for MMA.  Toe to toe he's one of the best, but, on the ground is weak.

Should be interesting. He might be the only one that could eventually challenge Lesnar.

Yeah, Kimbo is trying to get into the big show. He will probably do okay considering most fighters that they put on TUF have limited MMA experience, just like him.

He's definitely got to find some ground skills somewhere because I expect his opponents to shoot on him early and often. It's doubtful that anybody in their right mind wants to stand up and slug with him.

His cardio will get better as long as he follows the training regimen that his coaches set forth. I expect they'll have Kimbo working on his weak spots (ground, cardio) most of the time.

Should be interesting though. They're making Kimbo climb the ladder just like everybody else. He might have it in him, he might not.

I never liked Kimbo. I thought this guy was a joke. The first time I searched for his fight videos on youtube back a few years ago, the first thing I thought was "wow, look at this big ripped monster fighting against out of shaped guys." I never really knew why people liked him. Am I missing something here?

Then comes EliteXC trying to push Kimbo which was really bad for the sport of MMA. His only decent win was over Tank, a guy who had a lot of raw power but is like 10-14 rec in his career.

I respect him for going into the TUF house, but I don't think he will make it. I never thought he was good enough and the good old excuse, he's too old to learn.

The show just finishing taping and won't air until Sept, but I read that someone leaked out some of the results from the show, which all fighters are suppose to keep silent after TUF is done. I won't spoil it whether it's true or not, but I'm looking forward to this season.

BTW, a lot of guys can give Lesnar the run for his money. First is Mir, then come winner of Cain vs Carwin at UFC 103 or 104, Fedor if he beats Josh Barnett and a few other guys. Kimbo is not even close to that level. I think he would be a better boxer than MMA fighter.

I'm gonna second TrippyJai on this one.  Even if he wins the show, there are about 10-12 UFC heavyweights that would bash this dudes head in.  He might make a good fighter one day, but the top heavyweights are light years ahead of him.l

A guy on another board Im on who is big into MMA says the rumor floating around is that Kimbo gets and early exit from TUF.

Most of them except..........2/3's of the Brits squad. Most don't know it, but we basically put complete Ams against total Pros this last season of TUF.

I agree about the Brit squad being more experienced, thats why I want Henderson to pound Bisping, among other reasons. I also agree on Kimbo's beard....he needs to take control of that thing!

x1000... cant stand bisping... he annoys me more than any fighter out there...

and i wouldnt be surprised to see Kimbo get tossed early from the show, but i respect the fact that hes trying to make it into the UFC the hard way, rather than just getting in because of his name... like he did in the EliteXC... i think Dana White played it right

Kimbo had a better chance at Pro Boxing I think.
