So i come apon a woman crying on TV about a little girl who has died in the village she is in.This is the kicker behind her is a big body of water with animals in it and KIDS drinking this water .She goes on to blame this water for the deaths here .HERES YOUR SIGN WOMAN ,,instead of begging for money buy a big arse POT and boil this water problem solved .How dumb are people ???? First ya dont drink water with animals walking in it second you boil water .Dont they know how to make fire????

  No clue dan but they were sitting in shade, besides you can burn dried dung from herbivores anyhow they showed plenty of med to large farm animals cattle,hogs, etc

Sure, you can burn dung but it's not going to last long enough to boil any substantial amount of water. I only asked because I've read about areas in Africa that have been deforested to the point that there isn't any firewood left.

And if you grew up in a third world country, would you really know that a body of water was polluted to the point of being a health risk unless it had been so for a long time?

I mean, sure it's pretty stupid to drink water like that especially without boiling it, I'm just saying there are scenarios where I can see it being the only or normal option.

No, I think its that they were too bewildered and dispirited.

Take the Donner Party for example, they was by a lake, even before it froze and they was starving then?

Theres many stories from the survivors about not catching the fish and it had alot to do with them being too bewildered and dispirited from the whole trip, remember it was suppose to take 6 months to complete the trip and it ended up being two years
