Took the BB plunge

Featured Replies

Bought a Blackberry Tour today.  Just call me the high-tech redneck.  Gonna take me a month to figure out every little detail.

Man, BR is sure a dog on the BB browser.  Almost pointless to visit the site.  Hey Glenn, you need a BR Mobile version.

My sister just got the same one. How much extra per month is it costing you?

I just got an EnV Touch and it is pretty sweet.

We had to change plans, we lost 500 anytime minutes (had 1000, only using 200-300 every month) but picked up unlimited texting and unlimited data on my line.

All in all about $25 extra/month.

I bought my son the EnV Touch...he says it's awesome. I wouldn't know, he wont let me see it for more than 20 seconds at a time.

Should've gotten an Iphone.

;D

Then you could view BR with no issues!!

Not available in this area for at least another 15-18 months.  And even then, I don't think I would want one.  I'm not a fan of touch screens.

plus, Verizon has better coverage...at least in my part of the state.

5bl, it is a nice phone. I really like the keyboard and the touch screen. You can use either to do pretty much everything. I ended up getting it for free because I had a $100 loyalty something or other that gave me a discounted price on top of the rebate.

Burley, how do you like the BB so far? My sister's looked pretty cool but I don't think I'd be willing to pay the extra $$ every month. Just not something that I think I would use enough to warrant the price.

Should've gotten an Iphone.

A buddy of mine here at work has an Iphone.  Its working pretty well now from GC to Wise.  They turned on 3 towers about 2 months ago I guess.  Better overall coverage should be available for it within the year he says.

I used to feel the same way about touch screen phones and I have fat short fingers and I find the phone very easy to use. Probably the best phone I have ever had. The free apps are cool too.

The G1 works very well for viewing this site amongst others as well.

Later, :)

Burley: I dont know where in SW by God Va you are. As a deathstar employee I know for a fact they are turning on 3G from Blacksburg south down I 81 to the Tennessee line. They delivered about 5 tractor trailer loads of the equipment in July to our warehouse. Our warhouse is almost empty of that equipment now. They chose to do Blacksburg 81 south before Roanoke  :-/

Site works great on the G1 and myTouch. They both have real web browsing built-in.  No need to get a software update or buy an app to make it work, like some other phones.  ::)

it my main internet at home as mine has been down for a while, i thik the site works great.

I also have the BB curve. It's been my best phone so far...
