guitar players : PLEASE HELP.

Featured Replies

I have a line 6 spider 3 30 watt amplifier, i've only had since the beginning of july. When i got to turn the channels on my amp they all sound like the clean channel. This started doing this about 30 minutes ago. I can't get any distortion out of the crunch, metal, or insane channels. The orange lights light up but it's just clean, no dirt at all. What's wrong with it? Could someone please tell me how to fix it?

thanks in advance !

hmmm im not sure but I do work a lot of shows so if you cant find out i can ask one of the guys i work with

did you turn your gain level down on the main amp settings,I'm not really familiar with line6, but that could be your problem if they all run off the same preamped settings. otherwise, it may be an issue with your switch. if you have the option, take out the foot switch, and switch the channels on the amp itself to see if it goes into the different modes then, again, its hard to say because I don't know the specifics of line6 operations

big mike, i turned down the gain and things like that and it didn't help  :-[ i've never heard of anything like this happening to this model of amp. I can't get any distortion out of it at all. I'll just send in the rebate and get a new one. Thank you very much for your advice though  ;)

You need to turn it up. Turn it up to 10, just turn your master down so you don't blow your ears up. But if I remember the spider series amps were kind of fininky when the controls were concerned.
