Off the water for the month :(

Featured Replies

Got to go to Atlanta (actually Alpharetta, GA) next week and Newtown, PA the week after for work. Always seems prime fishing time I end up being more than a hundred miles from anywhere I know to fish. Hopefully, I do not get any additional travel orders after that.

Last year I was off the water Sept, Oct, and November because I was stuck in Columbia, SC.

Anyone living/fishing in those areas that wants some company shoot me a PM.

Can you take your tackle with you on the trips?

There are always places to fish for bass no matter where you are.

Maybe you can contact one of the FLW or B.A.S.S. chapter or region presidents and ask him where there are some places to fish in the areas you will be.

You can also find apartment and office complex ponds.

Contact a local tackle shop and see if they know of any places to fish.  Or the Georgia game and fisheries division for suggestions.

So don't give up.  Just ask around. I am sure there are places to fish where ever you go.  :)

We're not that cold yet...lol, low 40's at night where I am. ;D

I think newtown is by Philly (about 5 hours from me), or I could've had you out, I only have about 2 1/2 weeks of small mouth left for the year. :'(

I know the feeling.  Just keep in mind that it could be worse.   :)

Last Fall I performed an upgrade of a customer's VoIP enterprise network in Lewisville, TX starting in September and finishing just before Thanksgiving.  Yeah, I know there are plenty of lakes near Dallas, including Lake Fork.  The problem was I was often working more than 100 hours a week.  I was too mentally exhausted to fish.  I have already told my employer that if it happens again they are fired.   ;)

"This too, shall pass."

Well it can definitely be worse. Most of Atlanta is underwater or under flood watch. This place is insane today.

I saw that. I know there were a couple of deaths from the flooding as well. Hopefully, things will return to normal before you have to travel.

Hope you find someone to go with.  :)
