I guess I have waited to buy one of these based on price

$50-100 for a scale seems a little high

was wondering if anyone has used this yet

It is listed as a new item but I am suspicious that it is someone else's product and they just put their name on it

thanks

Not sure where you're seeing that price? When I clicked on the link, it said $29.99. I paid somewhere around $80 for my Rapala grip.

I use one of these at a fish farm I work at and It's stood up great Probaly landed over 2000 fish over 10 pounds the scale just won't give out. not sure how accurate it is but they last a long time.

As far as I know, BPS is not in the manufacturing business, so it is someone else's scale, at least as far as the manufacture. Maybe it was made to BPS's specs and not an exact duplicate of something else, but if it is, so what?

Try it, test it for accuracy by weighing stuff that's already been weighed on a supermarket's certified scale, then return it if not accurate. BPS is good about returns.

to clarify - I thought the other scales were too expensive (BOGA and others) and the BPS scale was at the good price point- I am considering buying one and wanted to know if they were good or do you have to pay more money to get a reliable and durable scale.

It looks like Cabela's has a similar product with their name on it and again my concern wasn't about name or label just if it was known to be any good- the reviews in their site are not too favorable.

thanks for your input
