  1. Hello- nearly every summer I fish a great lake in Maine that is populated by a few zillion smallmouth all under 2 lbs. I was looking for a good suggestion for a light weight (or ultra light) rod. 6' seems right but 5'6" would work too. Was hoping to keep the budget under $100. Any one have a favorite?
  2. hello - I have a few of these that I was going to sell, bought them a year ago and just never tie them on. If you send me your email to jroetzel@neo.rr.com- I can send you photos of them later today. best and favorable winds shadrac
  3. thanks guys I think its time to price a jack plate or see if I can find a swap on the motor shadrac
  4. Hello due to some unusual circumstances I ended up with a 14 foot jon boat (it takes a short shaft 15" transom) and a motor that is 20" transom. I was hoping someone could tell me what the draw back to the set up would be? thanks Jim
  5. any thoughts on a good replacement for a bogo? saw this but could find no reviews: http://www.***.com/descpageGAMBTT-EFFD.html thanks shadrac
  6. Tackle Warehouse is a great example of how a business should run. They handle orders with care, appreciate your business and work hard to keep it. Shadrac

  8. Hello I fish a friend's private farm pond - its a nice lake with some decent bass. But it is one of those one bait lakes- the bass in the lake love smaller double buzz buzz baits. If you hang around here you buy Cavitron Buzz Baits- they don't make a double buzz (yet.) Can anyone recommend a decent double buzz bait around 3/8 oz thanks Shadrac

About the 2nd bait down that one Marty painted for me I have always had good luck with older wooden creek chub darters I thought his perch color pattern would work well haven't used it yet but I think Creek Chub might still be in business if they offered Marty's colors Shadrac

of course it is but with all the younger folks on the BF forums - not sure too many have ever seen one- it was my dad's favorite top water bait for smallmouths I have learned that there was a second manufacturer of Shadracs from Texas your turn.

I think that's a Heddon black shore minnow pattern- the lure was a small sinking spook but I don't know its exact name Shadrac
  15. When I was growing up, the father of a friend of mine used to always say the goal of any fishing lure is to catch the fisherman first. And of course he was right but we still collected lures to add to the box. The latest trend in that strategy is Sexy Shad color- which sort of surprises me because the pattern has been around for years. Heddon had it on their early Pumpkin Seed pattern of Bluegill. So if you want to see the sexiest shad - go this link http://www.tacklecollecting.com/heddontinypunkinseedcolors.htm scroll down a little and you will see classic 1955 sexier than shad Bluegill.
