You are correct, 1in

Buuuuut..... Morale is pretty high right now in Redskins Nation.

been a redskin fan since i was a kid myself and today is the best news i've heard in a long time about the skins.  cerrato out.  allen in.  shanahan on the way.  is snyder finally tired of losing and watching the other 3 teams from his division make the playoffs?  looks that way, but i won't hold my breath.  i think portis is probably done and his production won't be easy to replace.  changes are needed at offensive line.  there is no clear no.1 receiver.  no dependable field goal kicker.  they'll need a good o.c.  they have a good but not great defense.  so i don't look for much next year unless they hit a couple of home runs in the draft and free agency.  but today was definitely a move in the right direction.  things are looking up for sure. :)

Snyder is the problem.

Don't hold out much hope the Deadskins will improve that much next year.

New QB? Probably.

Better O-Line? Maybe.

Strong D-Line? Could be.

Defensive Backfield? - Landry cannot do it all by himself and he needs to learn how to wrap up a guy and not try to knock his head off every play.

Time will tell.  :)

Not sure about Shanahan, wasn't Allen in Tampa when Gruden was there??

Yes. And speculation has started. MNF is in DC this week and Gruden showed up two days early. So he's "automatically" the next coach.

im pretty sure he was in oakland with gruden too, its great to finally have a GM.

He was indeed....and boy, do we miss them both. I guess my Christmas wish won't be coming true after all.  :'(

I don't like the Redskins even more now.  ;)

New QB: I hope not

Better O-Line: Can't get worse (although it has been much better the past few weeks)

Strong D-Line: Already have it, hope we just keep it

Defensive Backfield: Ok but not great

Devin Thomas has shown flashes of excellence at WR, and Fred Davis has stepped up huge at TE. I wouldn't be surprised if the skins do put together a good season next year..... Knock on wood

Im feeling the Excitment too . Change was needed and still is in some areas. As for the rest of the season, Nothing like ruining the Giants and Cowboys playoff hopes

FBL, how the hell are you an Oakland fan anyways!?

I know, after the "tuck" ruling in the Snow-Bowl I would just not be able to watch football...
