Good stuff!

This one gave me a good laugh: "There's one sure way to stop us from scoring - give us the ball near the goal line."  Matty Bell , SMU -

My favorite was "If lessons are learned in defeat, our team is getting a great education." - Murray Warmath, Minnesota

Thats what it feels like being a Redskins fan.

"Gentlemen, it is better to have died a small boy than to fumble this football" - John Heisman

This has been and will always be my favorite football quote of all time. Especially since he probably meant it he was such an eccentric.

If anything goes bad, I did it. If anything goes semi-good, we did it. If anything goes really good, then you did it. That's all it takes to get people to win football games for you. (Bear Bryant)

The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will. (Vince Lombardi)

I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle-victorious! VL

Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

I had a coach who used to quote Lombardi as we were running, every day, before AND  after practice...

Fatigue makes cowards of us all.

Sadly, I was in the ninth grade and never understood what the hell he was trying to tell us, because I was always tired.
