I'll send you a pack of plastics from one of the BR sponsors (your choice) if it gets best actor.

But if it doesn't, then you have video tape yourself wearing a floral pattern dress while fishing from a public lake in the daytime ;D.  And post the video on here.

I thought it was cool but I didn't feel like there was any structure to it. I was sanding/painting stuff when I watched it but it seemed like it was just a bomb call after bomb call for the most part. I wanted some sort of plot or nemesis or something. Maybe I just need to watch it again.

I thought it was a really good movie but not any big deal.

I liked it, but I would not count on it winning any awards.  I agree there was very little structure or actual storyline to it, but it was a great look at the BS those EOD guys have to deal with.  Worth a watch at least, but I won't be buying it.

I'm fairly certain this film will win something.

It is the best look at how Iraq really is that I have seen captured on film.

Some of the innuendo's and situations are rather amusing as many of us who have been there can relate.

I find the story line to be more based on "a day in Iraq" kind of rather than an evolving story line, definitely not traditional.

exactly. the movie is episodic. i love this type of movie, movies that don't follow the traditional storyline, or have any specific plot. see Gummo ;) they just show events as they happen, just like life itself.

It was a great movie

Its in the running for best picture

http://oscar.go.com/nominations/nominees

9 nominations, tied with Avatar for the most (unless one of the lead/supporting actor/actresses is from Avatar, in which case Avatar would have more).

its GOING to win something. count on it ;). i'd be willing to bet best picture.

Awesome movie, first war based movie ive seen in awhile that hasnt felt cheesy, no cheesy catch phrase. i actually got kinda mad at the lead guy at some points in the movie lol which sounds lame he was gonna get someone killed though >:(

Dave, you need to upgrade your movie selection and practice watching and enjoying chick movies.

You will go to a few chick movies with your new girlfriends at college so get ready to sit and groan for two hours.

Watch out for the movie Emma. I groaned through that one.  ;D   ;D   ;D
