Daytona 500

It looks like Kyle Bush is back to being a middle of the pack driver again.

I'm no shrub fan but to make such a proclaimation based on one race is really a stretch   ;)

Eury Sr wasn't active in Jr's career after he left DEI.

Eury Sr has now left DEI and is back in the Earnhardt pits with Jr Motor Sports.

I don't think that is a bad thing for Jr in any capacity.

When has Jr ever drove like his Daddy.

That last pit stop, Jr took 4 tires, was about 16-17th,  next restart, 14th, last restart, 10th.

Man was on a mission like his Daddy!   Never seen Jr hang in the middle like his Daddy would do.

I don't drink often because of the pain meds, but I did yesterday...and I don't remember the end of the race.  I went from having the tolerance of a bull to that of a school girl.

We usually take a shot during yellow flags, but it gets ugly when there's long reds.  We ended up killing two liters of Jager.  The malt liquor didn't help either.

If old man Martin would have got on the gas Kasey Kahne would have never wrecked.  Stupid old man.

::)

And it took 2 1/2 hours to fix a pothole?

Thought the racing was good, the waiting not so much. I was screaming at the t.v. that last lap. :o

Jr. made it exciting. Hope he can have a better year.

Kasey Kahne all the way baby.

I second that........... sadly, (Ive found myself saying this before, and Im sure Ill say it again)

"Jeff Gordon is a MORON!"

First of all,    you NEVER bump draft going into a corner in ANY racing series!

My uncle raced modified and open wheel for years, and thats one thing he POUNDED into my head. NEVER!   It wont end well!

And second off, he needs to quit complaining.......... He doesnt realize that he wont win a championship unless he quits racing like its the old Cup format! U cant win a championship if u just finish in the top 10 or 5 every race. u have to win them!

But im just really angry, Kasey was running strong the entire race, and had a good finish in sight, and gordon bump drafted him into the corner, knowing full well that the field was brake checking up in front of them...... then he bumped him again to dump him!

He got what was coming to him tho! Same as Truex did when he threw that nasty block down when he lost the lead..........

The drivers are policing themselves, and i think that if u dont know how to play nice with one driver(especially one that the rest of the field likes) then the entire pack is going to hang u out to dry, or better yet, put u into the wall like u deserve!

Im done now!  :)

They said during the race that the 3 compounds they tried weren't meant to setup given the cold temps and the fact that there was moisture under the track due to all the rain they had had the previous week.

The compound they used for the 2nd patch, the white stuff, was supposed to work better though it sounded like it was coming apart too.
