Did Berkley drop Al Linder ?

Featured Replies

For as long as I can remember Al Linder has been a spokeaman for Berkly products, like gulp!, powerbait, and the Trilene fishing lines. Now I sees he's promoteing Suffix line and some Trigger X brand of plastic baits. Anyone know what happened ? Just curious. :-?

My guess is it was the other way around.

Why would any company drop one of the most influential anglers of all time.

I could be wrong though.

I haven't seen the show recently and I have no idea. But I believe Pure Fishing was sold a few years ago and the new owners may feel--despite Lindner's fame and accomplishments--that they're just not getting a return on their investment. I don't think we'll be told what actually occurred.
