I have started using hevi shot to weight my nymphing rigs when I fly fish.  I was hoping to buy an ounce or two from somebody. Sizes 4-BB preferably. I know it is a long shot, but to buy them for flyfishing, the price is ridiculous, I dont need 4lbs, and i dont want to buy a box of shells just to cut them open.

I can send you a few shells to chop open.  I won a case of it at a DU banquet and then gave up waterfowling.  SHoot me a PM if you need some Jay.

I dont think it will work.  if I am correct it has tungsten in it.  you wont be able to melt it.

anyway I can probably get you a little bit to try.
