What a Shame!!!

Featured Replies

That the Detroit Tiger pitcher missed a perfect game in one of the worst calls in sport history!!!

I don't even watch baseball and that ticked me off.

I've watched umpiring go downhill the past few years. I've always felt that bad calls balance out over the course of a long season. There is no balance here. This year, especially, umpires seem to be in the media more than I ever remember. That's wrong.  Perhaps Joe West can record a song about this bad call.

I just don't know what to say.

I'm not a baseball fan either, but when I saw that story on ESPN.com I felt like somebody kicked me in the gut.

After something like this, I just don't understand why the "purists" don't want instant replay.

At least joyce was man enough to go to Galaraga and admit he was wrong after watching a replay of it.

The fact that this would have been the third perfecto in a month is beyond mathematics.  I believe the previous two, in a month, hasn't happened since 1880.  :o

The good old human factor sucks , what a shame.

As a die-hard Tiger's fan, I'm inconsolable. My wife, and I were watching the game, and when the call was made, I couldn't believe it. Every time I see the replay, I just get more upset.

Armondo got robbed. Jim Joyce was man enough to apologize to Galaraga, but that doesn't change the fact, that he made an idiotic call.

I have to stop now, because my blood pressure is going up again.LOL
