BPS Rewards Preferred?

Featured Replies

I received an flier in the mail telling me I have been selected as a Preferred rewards member and a coupon for 500 rewards points if I purchase something from the local BPS before July 4th. Has anyone else got this in the mail. I don't spend a lot of money at BPS and only go about 3 or 4 times a year maybe. I'm not sure what makes me a preferred member. Anyone know the benefits of being a preferred member. The flier didn't really say what the benefits were, just come to the customer service counter and get your preferred card.

I received the same flier. I think once you spend enough money, or maybe make enough trips you go on their list. I haven't been lately, so don't know anymore details than you. It may be a promotion to get you to sign up for their Visa/MasterCard. What they know for sure is that if they get you in the store, you will buy something. ;)

I have the "Preferred Rewards" card. It's basically the same as your regular rewards card, and will even have the same number. It just means they'll send you more coupons in the mail and invitations to "PR" member-only sales.

I spend a good bit of time and money at BPS since the Atlanta store is about 15 miles from my house, but I only got my "PR" card for the free 500 points. My old card was just fine.  ;)

You are a preferred customer because no matter how much money you spend with them they would prefer if you spent more.  I generally let my points build up until I'm past $100 .

I got one in the mail too.  It was only for 250 points though, I guess I didn't spend enough money this year.  It's only redeemable in store though which sucks because my store in Nashville was destroyed by a flood.

In July 2007, I got a letter telling me I was one of Hampton, VA's BPS's top 100 customers.  I promptly hid that letter from my wife.

i think you have to spend $1000 a year to be a preferred member.

This may be true but this is not the case for me. I haven't spent more than probably  three or four hundred dollars so far this year. And probably spent less than that last year.
