Casio Cellphone

Featured Replies

Does anyone have a G Zone Rock by Casio? I am thinking about getting one because it's waterproof & can get the weather radar on it. I don't want all the stuff that they put on a phone now, just be able to talk, get the weather & waterproof. Thanks for any feedback. :)

Just keep in mind that the phone isn't truly waterproof unless you plug up its headphone jacks and its various other ports with their respective rubber plugs.

I don't have one but we sell a decent amount of them at the store. Its a decent phone. If it were me though, id look at the motorola barrage or samsungs rugged waterproof phone (I forget its name at the moment). They are both a little more rubberized. The rock is tough, but its all slick plastic (the other two are easier to hold).

Make sure you keep all the doors shut on whatever you get. People come in complaining when they drop there phone in water and the charging port is left open. Its not my fault their an idiot ;)

I've had one for over a year and I like it. Have gotten it wet plenty of times and it works great.

It's also great when you drop your phone in the mud, your food, your beer, etc, you can just wash it off.

I have one and love it. Mine is completely waterproof and has been dunked at least 5 times since I have had it...I dropped it into 4ft of fast water in maxwell creek while steelhead fishing last winter (While it was open because I was talking on it) I could see its screen shining down there plain as day. It took me about 2 minutes of prodding and dragging it with a stick to get it to where I could grab it, it came out working 100%. I was amazed.  Both of my little brothers have these phones as well and they have all been through alot without a hitch. They are also just as shockproof as they say they are. Great phones.

Who drops their phone?

Only time I have my phone fishing is when I'm offshore in case I need to call Sea Tow and it's stored in dry place.

I'm not sure of all the capabilites, but I recently bought the Motorola Quantico......I have not shock tested it yet, but I sure have given it a bath a few times.  I'm liking it thus far.

Thanks for the replies, I have not dropped a cell phone yet. I have got them wet from the rain while fishing though. Forgot I left it laying on the drivers seat & fished through the rain. It still works but I thought Why not be a little safer. :)
