I've noticed you guys talking about diff style baits. Ive got my favorites too. But man Ive never fished with a texas rigged worm and if some of you guys saw my other post it produced well for me.

went out again tonight and was just testing some line i baught. kept my 4inch powerworm pumpkin seed on and jeeze almost every cast i was drilling them. small frys but its a small pond at the golf coarse.

I had the soon to be wife fishing the same spot with my fav crank baits and she never got a bite in the two hours we had been fishing.

For a shore line fisher i think i feel like ive found gold haha.

I freaking love it. Dont gotta worry about lossing a 6-20 buck crankbait. can go just about anywhere. can tell what the bottom is kinda like by watching the line feel of rod. And fish bite it.

I was watching the show "The Bass Pros" on versus not to long ago and I would have to disagree with what "FishingJames" said. I can't remember right off hand which one of the pros said it but he said.... "A good fisherman finds what works and sticks with it, but an excellent fisherman finds what works and changes" He said the slightest change to a lure can make all the difference.

Well it wasn't but a month ago when I was out with a friend of mine who didn't know that much about bass fishing. Well on this particular lake we ALWAYS catch about 75-100 per day and we were using small 4-6" purple worms. So I decided that we figured out that the bass liked the purple color but I was tired of catching 2lbers. So I changed the bait up a little. I grabbed a Mann's hard nose junebug colored 9" worm. I rigged it with a 1/8oz weight T-Rigged and threw it out. He didn't understand until The bait quit falling and I knew it wasn't at the bottom so I reeled up the slack and crossed the fishes eyes!!!! My buddy was amazed that it worked so well. Well the bass I caught wasn't huge but she went 4lbs. so we ended up upgrading from just a small change. Now he is a believer too!!!

Just my 2 cents. ;)

"Changing" can also involve the way you are working the bait, upsizing or downsizing,or change color on the same kind of bait.Sometimes it can make the difference between dinks and quality fish or agressive bites vs. non agressive.
