  1. I agree, but I find that in saltwater, full/new moons seem to cause the fish to not bite. I don't know if it's me or what.
  2. I just read this article that talked about how moon phases, the sun/moon setting and rising, and weather conditions affect bass and other fish. Wanted to share it with the other members. Enjoy http://www.solunar.com/the_real_scoop.aspx
  3. I heard pottsburg creek used to have bass in it but its slightly saltier than it used to be, but you can try it.
  4. I fish the baby brush hog in Watermelonseed and Orange Swirl (don't ask why). I've had success swimming it, jigging it, and fishing it like a worm with a split shot.
  5. I use soft plastics about 90% of the time and I find them very effective, and a lot easier to change if one's not working.
  6. What's worked for me is: - Texas rigged Watermelonseed Trick Sticks (senkos) w/ a split shot - Texas rigged baby brush hogged hopped or swam back
  7. Nice job man, I myself have recemtly found confidence in senkos. Keep whackin em
  8. I like fishing tubes on jigheads and weightless soft platsics (Trick stick, brush hog, etc.)
  9. I like the idea about soaking the baits in shrimp. I've tried using YUM shrimp spray but it doesn't work all too well.
  10. Lol I just took a quick glance at the pic and assumed he was wearing a viking hat.
  11. Watermelon Seed Green Pumpkin Craw Orange Swirl
  12. Early morning, trout will be shallow on flats in sand holes. When the sun rises redfish will be on a flat. Topwaters work great. Or a weightless gulp shrimp depending on the water depth.
  13. I like to to use the Zoom Fluke in the Arkansas Shiner color. I fish it on a 1/4 oz. Chartreuse jighead with a jerk-jerk-pause retrieve and it works great. I usually fish it in medium depth water about 8-10 ft. deep.
  14. I have an old pc game that sounds very similar to yours. I would check the name of it but its at my relatives house.
  15. Nice! Always wanted to catch a Tarpon. :-/
  16. We catch Atlantic Croakers in the St. Johns all the time. But not 30 inches long.
  17. 11 species on an nightcrawler in 1 day... WOW. And btw what size hook did you have?
  18. My first artificial bait fish was a Spanish Mackeral on Luhr Jensen's Gold Spoon 1/2 oz. Good times 8-)
  19. x2 This works wonders.
  20. When the sun is first rising/settng. Or at the start of an incoming or outgoing tide. When the sun is high and its getting really hot, the reds will move into shallower water on a flat.
  21. I've always used the Improved Clinch for everything. Hasn't failed me yet!
  22. I would fish in the shaded areas when the sun is high, with any bait you like.
  23. Fishing rod/reel combo on a jighead. ;D
  24. With circle hooks, you don't need to set the hook. Just keep you rod kinda low, and start reeling. Doing this I have never gut hooked a fish (at least 200 caught) with circle hooks.
