  1. I'd go with a size 1 hook for Crappie fishing, but have caught many also on 2/0 circle hooks.
  2. Not exactly Snookin' but, chasing Tarpon.
  3. Lo-Vis Green or Green Suffix Siege Yo-Zuri Hybrid Camo Green is also great and cheap at BPS, $4.88 for a 850 yd. spool of 8#.
  4. Sports Authority is WAY more expensive than Dick's, but sometimes they have nice sales. Or you can get a price matchup w/ Dick's and get 10% off the price of an item that both Dick's and Sport's Authority have. Hope that wasn't too confusing. lol
  5. Put one color/brand of soft plastic in a Ziplock bag, then put those bags in a Freezer Ziplock bag, don't forget to label. Or, leave them in the original packaging, then put them in a Freezer Ziplock bag.
  6. There is no "best" fishing line of any type bait/lure, as everyone will have their own opinions. As for me, I use #17 Suffix Seige, but I'm really considerind downsizing for better casting, and getting to the max diving depth.
  7. Nothing "key", but I see that you're missing deep diving cranks, creature baits, wake baits, and swimbaits. All I could find.
  8. Lately, I've been reading lots of good things about swimbaits, and decided to hop on the bandwagon. I've also heard lots of good things about this bait and at $15 for the 5" 3/4 oz. version it loks like a nice bait for a an excellent swimbait price. Any output?
  9. Senkos work really good. You can try it in the Watermelon w/ Black flakes. Texas Rig it on a 5/0 Gamakatsu EWG hook, or wacky rig it.
  10. At my local Wal-Mart they sell, Cajun line and Cajun Advantage, but not the Cajun braid. Maybe, you should check out your local Wal-Mart and see what they have.
  11. Palomar knot is great, and so is the Improved Clinch Knot, which is my personal favorite.
  12. Do what all of the guys said, their advice is great. Just a few things I thought I should add, when using a weight pyramid sinkers are the way to go, as they sink into the sand and don't slide and bring your bait back to the shore/pier. For weight sizes I've found that 4 oz. is great for rougher waters, and 2 or 3 oz. is best for more calm waters. And shrimp (live or dead) on a 2/0 Owner Mutu Light circle hook is my setup on a 3 way swivel. http://amelia-island-fishing.com/images/rig_generalsurf.jpg
  13. Soft is the way to go, I love my Okeechohee Fats bag.
  14. In fishing there are no rules. But most go with dark colors in murky or muddy water, or cloudy days. And lighter colors in clear water, or when it is sunny. Natural always works though, if the conditions allow it.
  15. I fish with 30# Phantom Red Power Pro, and it seems pretty invisible, since red filters out first, and it only has the diameter of 8# . :-/ The only time I'd use a leader is for topwater, walk-the-dog lures. The only reason to really use a snap swivel is for a wider wobble on cranks, other than that you would be messing with the action of your lure.
  16. When fishing a 5" worm on a Texas Rig I use 3/0 EWG Worm Hooks for 7"+ I use 5/0 EWG Worm Hooks. When Wacky rigging I go to a 2/0 Owner Light Circle Hook.
  17. If you're on a boat, fish deeper, in that 20+ ft water where larger bass may be prsent, also try downsizing your baits, and using natural colors. And as NitroMan said, work very slow Bass are lazy.
  18. My biggest fish was a Black Drum (Saltwater) which was 24" , weight was undetermined due to the lack of a scale.
  19. I was thinking of buying this scale, and was wondering what do you guys think of it. If you have used it do you think the measurements are correct? And it's only $30. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_93413____SearchResults Thanks
  20. Most (90%) of what I've learned has come from reading these forums, and maybe a few articles. Thanks, to all the guys and gals that have given me that info.
  21. If you're in a boat (or from shore w/ Rod holders) you can try spider-rigging: Spider rigging is fishing with multiple poles sticking out of the front or back of the boat. On each pole you can have a different bait/color and see what works best. More info on Spider Rigging: http://www.crappiestuff.com/spider_rigging_101.html
  22. Mono - Suffix Seige: Very little memory, strong and very abrasion resistant Braid - Power Pro: Best braid ever
