I need help in targeting shad, I hear cut shrimp and small fish will work, but I have tried shrimp in areas that I know have Shad, because I see them jumping all the time. I'm thinking of trying a Fire Tiger Roostertail.

I've heard that people catch Redfish with Zoom Horny Toads aroung mangroves and grass flats. I also heard that they use white or white and char Buzzbaits to imitate crabs on the surface. Anyone ever caught redfish doing this?

Shrimp with a heavy scent (By using a shrimp scent/spray) works pretty good.

I use Eagle Claw 3/0 or 5/0 EWG worm hooks.

I use 20-30 lb. mono and 10-20 lb. braid (Power Pro). But 10 lbs. is usually all it takes when using Power Pro.

I usually use palomar or improved clinch knot, but it seems as if they would slip. :-/

I'm looking forward to trying out some Buzzbaits and spinerbaits I just bought but need advice on what type of knots to use. Help?

The first Lure I ever had was a Fire Tiger colored RoosterTail, the first lure I ever used was a Rapala X-Rap in a Silver color, the action is amazing. ;D

I prefer Power Pro over Suffix and SpiderWire, but hey that's just me.

I agree with backwoodsbassfishin. Using Cricket hooks and live crickets are a great way to catch Bream, regardless of size.

Anyone one use these lately? I've been looking forward to trying them out, but want to know if they catch Bass. If you do use them what colors and weight do you use? Thanks

My favorite would have to be Jerkbaits, I also enjoy using soft plastic swim baits.

What would you say is the best color lure for fishing stained water?
