One of the better bites going on now

This isn't me but one of my "homeboys". The tarpon bite has been pretty good, The migrating 100-200# ones are starting to come in, best caught on live bait. We target the juvies with lures and spinning gear.

Awesome pictures. I really need to get out and get on some inshore fishing.

That looks like a canal in Dania I used to fish.  There were allot of nice snook and tarpon in there, I hooked and didn't catch allot of huge tarpon in that canal.

Story in the paper the other day a fella caught a 200+ pounder in the St. Lucie River near the Seawall on live finger mullet. ;D

I need to make a trip down there some day.

I know Redline has a lot of top-end tackle.  But casting from Louisiana to Florida may be a bit much even for him.

If you're coming this is the time of year. The fall mullet run has started north of us and seeing some signs down here now. The lady fish (poor man's tarpon) are staring to turn on, snook and tarpon still very active and soon the bluefish & spanish mackerel will be in. The offshore storms are producing muttons and yellowtails now.

Just this morning I caught 5 decent snook, hooked a small tarpon and caught couple of jack crevelles, I'd be happy doing that any day.
