The last of the MNF crew passed away yesterday at age 72.

Don Meredith had alzheimer's and a brain hemorrhage.

Us old goats remember the Gifford, Cosell and Meridith crew and it was a pleasure to watch those games when those three guys were in the booth.

Another great one leaves us.  :'(

Monday night football was at its best when those three were in the booth.  What a perfect mix of personalities!  Dandy Don will be missed.

SirSnookalot, I thought Gifford passed away.

Nice to know he is still around.

Thanks for the update.  :D

The Giff said some kind words for his good friend Dandy at halftime MNF last night. You know your are getting old when you can remember that trio.

Those three turned Monday Night Football into an event, it was definitely not just 'another' football game.

Yes he did and got a little choked up. Tried to be kind about Cosell but you could see he really didn't like him as well.

I loved Cosell, not so much for his personality but for his vast knowledge of sports history not to mention any other subject. An attorney by trade with a photographic memory, had been toured to run for the Senate but declined.
