I wonder what "external means" they were talking about.

Just make a new gamer tag.

i feel bad for the kid but i dont see it as news

Just make a new gamer tag.

You can't. You would have to buy a new hard drive.

you can tell the difference between a mod'er/cheater then someone really good.  Some even cheat as bad as using a "glitcher"  as I call it.

I run across alot of modders in Black ops and MW2.  You can tell because the gun doesnt work like usual and some lay down too fast.  They still suck and cheat.

More then likely some punk kids were getting a beat down and didnt understand why so they reported him.  I'd like to know if there is any real way fighting it.

I simply do not understand the mindset of glitchers.

I jumped into a Crysis server a couple days ago and it was just a group of guys trying to figure out how to glitch jump up a giant wall.  Really?  Is it seriously THAT important to win a GAME?

what a dumb *** topic for a news report. "Mom probably should cancel his account. If Xbox Live is his "only friend," she needs to get the kid much more involved in the community, activities, sports, and outreach programs. Stop using his disability to seclude him from the world and instead concetrate on improving his abilites--sonething that will NEVER happen isolated behind a TV/computer screen."

Seriously. He has austism, a mental condition that involves inadequate social aptitude. Her solution: sit him behind a screen so he doesn't have to work on those skills....and her concern is about her son's gamertag?!?!

My feelings exactly.  If ya have to cheat go play sponge bob or some other game that you might beable to not suck in.

Wow lol is this really what news teams have to rely on these days because they can't find anything else?

Ive had entire lobbies file complaints on me for allegedly having an aim bot, nuke boosting, lag switching, modding, and my personal favorite, on two seperate occasions, I had entire enemy teams say that they were filing complaints on me purely for stomping them so hard.

A. That is pretty impressive and really awesome  ;D

B. You should seriously do something else with your time  :-X

My little brother spent all of his birthday money for a modded controller a year or two ago. I think around the time WAW came out. It was sweet with the single shot guns but the semi and fully auto guns were so hard to aim that he quit playing with it. He's one of those glitchers though. I think his highest kill streak on MW2 is like 1800 or something absolutely impossible. He's a cocky little kid who needs his tail whipped.

That's terrible. Recon armor (for those who don't play halo), is a very hard set of armor to get and in order to get it, you must do a set of achievements that are kinda hard. Sadly, the hacker took advantage of the autistic boy because the boy probably doesn't have much of a sense of right and wrong.

@Dan, you can download programs from the computer, and it helps you change stuff on your profile, not gonna go in depth.

Oh boy, you must be amazing.

I guess when I started this thread it was because I thought it was weird that someone backed with a big corporate name would take the time to call someone out on a game. The last time I played anything similar, it was Asteroids (early 80's). I didn't realize how serious gaming really was until reading some of these posts.

Bob's Pizza Haven was the only place in town to have one and I was the king of the world.......man what a step up that was from playing Atari Combat! 8-)

I tried to read the article. Made it down to the part about all his "achievments." :D Had to stop there.

Oh video game dorks. Why do you take this crap so seriously?  :D

Every console is gonna have modders, and glitchers.

The fact that people actually worry and get bothered by cheaters in a video game is disgusting  8-)

Let the cheaters cheat, it's funny how much they care...

lmao

I cheated on a computer game once. ;D It was all good fun. I didn't cheat to win every match. I had a lot of fun doing stupid stuff with the cheats. lol. I go a couple rounds and just flat out get my arse kicked (on purpose) then just dominate the entire team next round for the heck of it. Those were the days, I have no idea how to cheat on the xbox.
