that was quite the blizzard

Featured Replies

that was quite a blizzard. i do realize most of it missed my area but the way local governaments handled it was funny. it was nasty for like an hour then it stopped. we got like a whole 8" of snow which is nothing. i dont have school because of the "blizzard". its fine now with a little wind

I was expecting snow to come up to my windows....Didn't happen. We got around 8" too...not the 15+ they were expecting.

18" and still getting hammered,

Lake effect snow they say will dump another 3-5"

Snow drifts have burried my picnic table

I would have to say weather is probably the toughest thing to predict. That being said with all the technology they have today you would think they would be a little more accurate. I plow during the winters and this year I've been going by what I see when I  look out the window rather than what the weathermen say. I like to think of it as going "Old School".

We're at 19.5". Winds last night were 60-70mph gusts causing 6-8ft drifts. -15degrees tonight. The sun is finally coming out.

We didn't get much snow or ice,Thankfully. You guys that did, take care.

We got hammered last night.  I had to dig my way out of my house. We got about 2 ft of snow,  and the drifts are about 5 ft high.
