Which is Worse...

Recommended Posts

Having your team not even make the Superbowl or to have your team make the Superbowl and lose?

I get to emotionally invested in the Steelers and I just hate when they lose (especially in the Superbowl). I'm still not over the Steelers loss to Dallas in Super Bowl XXX. Now if the Steelers had lost two weeks against the Jets, I could have actually enjoyed watching the Packers win, but today was like 4 hours of tourture. Just wonder how others feel.

By the way, Congratulations to the Packers and their fans. If the Steelers had to lose to someone, I am glad it was Green Bay.

It was one of the better games I've watched in my lifetime.

It was pretty hard watching the Cowboys suck this year.

But then again, I also get very emotionally attached to the games. I get mad and can't sleep. So Super Bowl and losing would probably be worse.

Any Bills fans here?  If so, were the 90s better for you than the new millennium has been so far?

Try being a Dolphins fan right now.

Yeah, thought so.

Insert Raiders, same thing. ;)

Seeing the Raiders lose in the Super Bowl against Tampa Bay really sucked but it wasn't too painful...we could all see that one coming. Our starting center flaked out the day before the game and ended up drunk in Mexico on game day plus they were playing against their ex-coach Gruden.

It was a heck of a game tonight. I just KNEW the Steelers were going to come back at the very end and ****** the victory from GB. I'm so glad that didnt happen.

Yup life long Bills fan..............season ticket holder from 1989 to 1996. I was in high school/late teens during the Super Bowl years. It was the most enjoyment I ever had watching football, but you always had an empty feeling in your gut, and felt like a whole season was wasted by losing one game. SB XXV was the worst..........obviously losing on a missed kick, by the time they lost the 4th one in a row I was almost numb to it, and in 1994 when they didn't even make the playoffs I was actually semi-releived. The last 10+ years have been terrible, I would have given one trip and a loss in the SB in the middle of this stink-fest...........now that I know how to handle it.

When I  look back on that team 20 years later, I'm still dissapointed, but ..............I actually don't know how to put in words how much that time in my life ment to me.  I went to or watched all those games, had all those good times with people in my family that are now gone..........................wow, sorry guys  :(

Having been a Rams fan since they moved to St. Louis, I've seen them win the SB, loose the SB, and very nearly go 0 for the season. Getting there and loosing is hard to take, but being a bad team is worse IMO.

Having said that I still get a little sick when I think about the baseball Cardinals losing to Kansas City in the World Series, and that has been 25 years. :'(

The 90's were WAY better. Granted, I was too young to remember the first two superbowl losses, and too young to fully appreciate the next two, but even through the late 90's when I knew more about what was going on, it was great watching football that was at least competitive along with a few more playoff appearances, knowing that they might have a shot at going back to the Superbowl any given year. A while back we were talking about this on a Bills forum that I belong to, and one of the guys there summed it up best when he said that of course he would rather the Bills won at least one of those 4 superbowls, but he would also rather have them be 0-5 in superbowls than 0-4. I would gladly take another superbowl loss over 11 years of no playoffs.

As a die-hard Patriots fan that 18-1 season was great and ended with what felt like a swift kick to the groin. I was in a funk for a month. Im gonna say if its an unexpected trip to the SB then I guess you could be glad to just be there. However if you go 18-0 through the season and are expected to win and lose its pretty painful.
