New Dog

Cute Pup!! I am the proud owner of a Chocolate Lab myself, which your looks like. Smart,Loyal but a PITA when it comes to retrieving. This dog has OCD. He never wants to quit. Hell bring you the smallest grain of gravel and want you to throw it. If you do,that dog will spend hours trying to find it. All day everyday. I didnt have to teach him ANYTHING about retrieving, hes just a born natural.

My female chocolate lab wants to do the same thing. She's 2 years old and so very full of energy...good dog though.

They are called retrievers for a reason ya know  ;)

congrats. he's really cute. his eyes are awesome. good luck with him

Thanks for the replies.

He has gotten a lot bigger and he is almost potty trained.

I keep him in a kennel most nights and he hates it. I wouldn't expect him to like it, but he barks like crazy.

He is a pretty good retriever, but he doesn't like to give the stick up.

I am happy I got him nonetheless though.

When I first saw it I thought VIZSLA!  Great dog, if you are a wingshooter you have yourself a permanent partner.  If not get ready to be very ACTIVE!

When my son gets a bit older I am in the market for one here is good link to get you started:

Looks like I'll be getting some exercise.

The vet thinks he is a Vizsla with some lab or Chesapeake retriever in him.

All breeds are retrievers, so hopefully I can train him pretty well.
