does any know any spot in or near philly to catch herring...i hear they are the best for stripers..i want a river striper this year...i never ever cought one..any hint or help would be great.

I don think theres anywhere in philly you are gonna get a striper. If you try jersey, on the deleare bay, long beach island, avalon and all that in early spring then you may get'm.

Buy the herring in your supermarket.

the herring, theres a place in camden nj called cooper river. Theres a watergate, so you can net herring there. The stripers run up the deleware from april-early may..and in the fall.
