does anyone reccomend using a snap when fishing swimbaits? im guessing no, but its really a pain to tie knots with 20 lb mono. im thinking of switching to braid on my swimbait setup.

I use snaps on all of my swimbaits. I use these but in size 5.

Split rings on *almost* all hardbaits. Exceptions being slammers (eye screw is too big for a ring, so i use a snap) and certain other baits. Deadstick/ 3:16 Real Deal.

dsaavedra, if you dont know already learn to tie a palomar knot. I can tie foot long baits with a palomar no problem. The big baits take a little practice but it wont take you long. As usual I agree with 4bizz. the general rule is snaps on hardbaits and direct tie to soft baits.
