I thought you guys might want to see some pictures of some cats me and my friend caught recently.  Catfishing is really beginning to heat up around my area.  How is everyone doing for cats?

Looks like you're a force to be reckoned with on the cats TF !!

WTG !! What're you using for bait?? You guys trotlining, or what ??

Surprisingly, I only used some earthworms on a hook with a cigar bobber about 2 ft up.  We were fishing along some downed timber.  I don't know if they are spawning or what, I thought catfish spawned later in the year?  :-?

I also have had some success with chicken liver in this area as well.

KOOL KATS!  What kind were they?  I couldn't see their heads very well but they looked like flatheads.  I've not tried catfish here yet, too busy chasing the bass

Interesting !! I'm not sure when they spawn but it must be close to time in your area if they're hanging around fallen trees and such... Usually when they're spawning they're pretty protective of their holes, and attack just about anything that come near it...

I'm not really sure what kind, they almost look like they have a flathead, of course like the flathead catfish, but I think they are bullheads.

Yeah, they look like bullheads to me, too. Congrats! I'm assuming you've already eaten them?

Not me, I don't care for catfish too much, but my friend who fishes with me likes them, so he did.  I'm more of a trout and panfish eater  ;D

Awesome.  I've never actually been juggin' before, but I've heard it's a blast.

thos are just mudcats

they are smaller catfish that live mainly in small creeks or farm ponds

they dont get much bigger than those you have right there
