Today was an interesting day!  With no school, I woke up and drove over to Ridenour Lake in Nitro, WV, with the temperature being 13 degrees and some snow on the ground.  I fished for 2 and 1/2 hours and only managed to catch one small rainbow.

I then drove to Catfish Cove Pay Lake beside Dairy Queen in Milton, WV.  I caught 3 trout there, the best being a 16 incher.  I also caught one strange trout missing its upper lip (check out the pics below).

I had to fish around some ice, but it was still a good day.  I'm looking forward to some golden brown trout fillets!

Long way from home aren't you?  Can't believe they gave you a driver's license.  

Hatchery fish?  I've caught hatchery fish that had no tail, no fins, etc.

Crazy deformed trout too.  I once fished a hatchery pond owned by a friend of a friend, where they dumped all of the fish they couldn't use.  We caught some pretty crazy fish there as well  

What were you using for bait/lures?

;D Congratulations on your recent catches.  I love trout fishing.  This is the first year I have caught trout myself in a long long time.  I went once in upstate NY trout fishing in a stream.  Now that was FUN.  But living where I do in Texas, I have to settle for stocked trout.  Still FUN to me!

I was using live nightcrawlers on the bottom.
