My Rainbow

Featured Replies

25 1/2" long

6 lbs 1 ounce

Caught her in a stream on a 5'6" UL glass rod, ultralight Pflueger Trion,  4 lb Sequar Invizx, and a chartruese berkley 3" Trout worm drifted with a small split shot. She was peeling drag like crazy. What a fight and man was she pretty. This picture was taken about eight hours later so she was a bit duller here. Anyway....fun as all heck on that noodle of a rod!

Great fish!

Must have been an awesome fight on ultralight tackle.

A. That's a big rainbow trout..........   20 inches? 2.5 lbs.?

B. Caught with ultralight!? I'm nervous catching bream on ultralight! :o

Hell of a job man. I've been angling for trout for 15 years and I'll admit that must of been tough. Let me know how you prepare her.

OK. Just saw the weight and size and that photo does no justice. Thats a huge Rainbow!! Kick ***.

Nope it doesn't.

I'm a wide fellar so she may look smaller. But I assure you the length and weight are correct. I actually thought she would weigh more.

If I could catch these girls all the time than bass fishing would go bye bye. The feeling of seeing a fish take off like a bullet down stream taking drag is amazing. There so pretty too.

That's a beautiful swim bait! Just kidding that is a great fish and you did an awesome job with the ultra light equipment.

Nice! and you both look frozen ! ;)

Yeah she was sitting in a cooler of snow for about 8 hours while I went out again. Myself.....I couldn't feel my feet. :)

Worth it though. Today is opening day for all streams around my area so now I'm not bound to just this one. Hopefully I will be able to get out after work.
