my brother and i went walleye fishing

we where throwing cranks along a wing dam and this brute hit my crank

he was 12 1\2 pounds and 47 inches long

those gar are every where in the river i fish but u seldom see them that big and very rarely catch them there pretty hard to keep hooked

i caught aneither 1 about 8 pounds and 1 little bass then it was off to a different spot

d**n.  That's a big fish.

I'm ok with carp and suckers and buffalo and catfish but GEEZ those are UGLY!

that 1 didnt jump he fought really weird when he first hit i thought a had a little fish then bam he fought like crazy then went limp and took off again

the 2nd 1 caught right after hook set he shot about 4 foot out of the water he fought a lot harder even took some drag

Nice Gar, I would love to go fishing for them someday

Man those things are ugly! They are a nuisance around my parts.Will tear the holy hell out of a popper or a frog bait.
