Trout fishing with Powerbait.

Featured Replies

I have been using Rooster Tails for most of my trout fishing, and have caught a few this year. But, someone was fishing some powerbait, trout nuggets the other day, and was catching quite a few. I am considering trying them out, and was wondering just how I should be fishing them.

Same way you would a salmon egg.  If you are in a stream, use a small split shot and let it flow with the current.  Moderate success for me.  They say the dough holds better if you form your own balls.  I would just as soon use a Mike's Shrimp salmon egg myself.

The dough works alright, sometimes.  try the little pink worms under a float or bottom bounced :)

Those are some nice Trout. What kind of worms are those exactly? Or what should I look for when looking for that type of worm?

Thanks. I might give those a shot. Any colors that you would recommend?

The power bait nuggets work rather well but so do marshmallows
