Falcon Speed Bags ????????

Featured Replies

Hey guys -

I'd like to get some input on these bags . Pros or Cons  . I've been thinking about buying the V12 , but I'd like to know what other folks that have these bags think about them .

Any help is greatly appreciated regards -

Tom

I don't own any of the falcon bags but I have quiet a few of the boxes.  I have never heard anything bad about the bags and I will probably get one in he near future.

The guide I went fishing with this past weekend uses them and he really likes them.

I currently use an Okochobee fats bag from wal mart that has served me well, plus it is a little cheaper than the falcon bag.

I bought the V12 and in my opinion, the bag itself is no better or worse than my other name brand bags (Plano or Shimano). I think the bag is overpriced compared to a good Plano or BPS bag. By the way, the boxes that come with the bag are not the good Falcon boxes. IMHO, they are no better than the boxes that come with any other bag you can buy.

I have the V6 bag. I think it is great. I bought this bag b/c I had problem with every BPS tackle bag I owned. No problems so far.

I have about 12 of the Falcon boxes that I trade in and out depending where I am going. Only problem with the boxes, is that they need to make a small fat crankbait box. Other than that no complaints.

I have both a V12 that I use in my boat and a V6 that I use on fishing trips on someone elses boat. Kinda pricey I think but it is the only bag out there sized to fit their boxes correctly. Their boxes work well but I do have more than one broken latch on them now. Alot of plastic going on with the divider system that makes them heavy. My V12 is full and is no carry bag for sure....35lbs.

Thanks for the info guys -

I've got an old duffle bag , I think I'm just going to pull the boxes out of my other 2 softsides , and put them in it instead . Besides IF I were to buy another box my Ol' Lady would probably kill me .  ;)

Tom, how many pairs of shoes does she have? Or how many outfits does she have that she does not wear? The other halves can be funny! ;D

I have a Cabela's Magnum bag that has sevred me well for over 5 years and a smaller BPS bag that I have been using for over three years now and neither has given me problems. Oh, by the way, the Rapala fish scale told me two years ago that my Cabela's weighed 52 lbs. Some people out there have alot more than me and they don't take it with them fishing, I tend to take almost all of it especially when I am going on a 5 day fishing trip! ;D No malfunctions on either of the bags though and I do use a few of the Falcon lure storage boxes and wallets. For the most part though I use the Plano CDS 3701 boxes in my big bag. You would be surprised at how many boxes you can fit in that Cabela's Magnum Bag!
