Can anyone tell me how to rig up the hook and sinker for spoonbill snagging? Where can I go to find info on spoonbill fishing. I have not had any luck finding info on the internet. Any info will be nice. Thank's

Probably not the answer you want but... your probably going to be snatching in a tail water so. If all else fails go down there and look at what the other guys are using. That would be a simple way.

You either buy the hooks with the weight attached or rig it like you would rig a dropshot, except that it's a heavier weight and a big treble hook.

Do you eat the spoonbills? IMO snagging non nuisance fish is unsportsmanlike , I'm quite aware that they rarely take prepared baits but so be it...

Yes you eat the meat on a spoonbill, it is very good. I can see your point on thinking it is not sporting to snag a fish. But it look's like it would be alot of fun. I love to bowfish to and I no some think that is not sporting but it is a hoot!

If you're using the meat than I dont see anything wrong with it, I myself bowfish but for carp, dont have the heart to shoot a gar or any other native
