In certain windows, as shallow as a couple feet. They come in to feed on gobies, alewife, and little stockies/smolts. The Spro Jr. has taken a couple browns. The High Power Herring would probably work, though you have to be real close to the size, especially for steelhead. Browns don't care, when they're eating, they're eating.

This time of year, this is what rules:

Where's my PM?

  • Super User

Re-sent.

My Outbox said I could still call it back from you, so it was sent earlier.

Big Brother watching over my shoulder, monitoring my PMs probably...

Good Gosh J! What a freakin' fish. I get tired of only being able to catch LM here in my neck of the woods. It's kind of the only interesting thing really...

I have recently switched over and started fishing heavily for Crappie. That's about as exciting of a change as I get around here.

This spring/summer I intend on hitting the few smallmouth areas in NC hard but until then,

Here's to looking at your pics!

Awesome looking fish. I'll bet fishing in the snow covered woods would be cool.

Speed, you want to man up and do a New Year's Day river raid?  The carpool leaves my house at 5 am sharp, Jan. 1.

Awesome fish, Francho.  I need to do some fishing one day up there when I take my daughters to visit their mother.  Gives me another excuse to take a flight up north.

Would love to, unfortunately that does not give me enough time to get back down here to work at Gander at 8:45.   ;D

Gander is open New Years Day?

Yeah, don't get me started on that.... >:(

Hell, I had to work from 8:45 until 3 on Thanksgiving Day.

The almighty dollar rules again.

How about MLK weekend?

Can't, got a seminar in NYC the day before, and I don't think we have MLK Day off.  Big Blue seldom recognizes national holidays.

We got til May.  The big spring push for normal steelhead starts early/mid April.  But the banks are full of goons by then.

You can just deal with the consequences later.   ;)

If someone goes up there make sure you take him some good beer.  But seriously, where are your orange slices?   ;D J/K
