Featured Replies

i'm going to West Palm, and Miami in May, and I was wondering if anyone knew any good Peacock Bass guides. One of my fishing goals is to catch a Peacock Bass. Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks

where exactly are you going to be? when in miami, ANY and i mean any canal or lake that you see holds peacocks. golfcourses, the canals that run parallel to most roads all hold peacocks. any fast moving bait will work. i throw baits that i don't care if they get mangled, because they will. rapala countdowns in gold, x raps, rattle traps. a lot of people wil say to get the firetiger color, but i have better luck with gold. if you can give me the area you will be in, i can ask a friend who targets them from land to give me some more info. let me know.

X2! You shouldnt have any problems finding peacocks in just about any canal or lake especially in the Miami area. That being said, if you have the $$ to pay for a guide and probably guarantee a catch then you might want to hit up Alan Zaremba. He's supposed to be the top peacock bass expert/guide in Florida.
