Went 2 for 4 this morning at the inlet, then a bass kicker on the way home.

Wow, just shy of 4 feet.  Nice bass too.

The salt fishing report today looks really good for the weekend.

Big kings, Black fin tuna, mutton snapper, mahi, all biting in 90-160 ft off of Lauderdale by the Sea. I might go out on the Helen S.

I check a few reports before heading out for reference , I'm going offshore this morning with a buddy, hope to have a nice outing, giving a new rod the acid test.

Just gotta hit the color change on the ocean side of the reefs right now. I'm hoping to get out sometime in the coming week, and cringe the entire time when I pay for fuel. Been hearing nothing but good reports from Lauderdale to Fowey Rocks then south some more to Pacific Reef down to Carysfort Light. The outside of the Whistle Buoy is supposedly very good right now also.

I wouldn't mind chipping in for gas if there is an open seat, or rod holder.

If I get out, you're definitely welcome to go. The weather outlook looks nice. Not sure what the winds/seas are going to be though. I'm going through some tackle just to be ready if the chance shows up. I need to run the boat soon anyway. Lobster season isn't too far away.
