I have been fishin this pond not to far from my house a little bit. The water is clear, and it is really deep with a very rocky bottom. Big rocks too because it used to be a rock quarry. The pond is straight down with layered rocks all the way around it. The only decent fish I caught out of there was on a shaky head jig with a junebug red flake finnesse worm. However I ended up losing that jig in the big rocks. I have a friend that has caught several large bass out of there in the spring with an arkansas shad colored fluke, and i have seen some very nice fish swimming 8 lb.+. So I was just wondering if there is any other lure that anyone can think of to fish this time of year based on the information i have given.

Coffee Tubes 3.5" version. I like the dark green, and the light purple with silver flake...

Also, throwing in a tube rattle in wouldnt hurt anything.  Use a 1/16th - 1/8th bullet weight...

Something else about this pond, there are a ton of brown minnows around it!!!

Topwater + rock quarries = hellafun.  Seriously, if you think that those minnows are the primary forage, then something similar should work.  that would include topwater, flukes, slashbaits, and even spinnerbaits.  it might also be a good spot to try the infamous inline spinner.

Wacky rigged senko on a Gammy circle hook. Match the forage colors. Crawfish, Sunfish whatever. Let them sink and fish em slow giving a twitch every now and then. If there is a bass nearby he won't be able to stand it. I love using this as it seems to cover all depths as it sinks. It helps me locathe my depth on a pond.

Wacky rigged senkos,  Spinnerbaits and rattle traps

Shaky head lures should still work just fine. When fishing large rocks you will loose alot of lures but as we all know if you are not loosing lures you are not fishing them properly. I would try to throw a crankbaits and bang it of the rocks. Maybe you loose them maybe you don't its all part of the game. I like spinnerbaits when you know that minnows are a good forage for them in the lake. Most of all just because you have a few bad days doesn't mean you should quit all together. I have a private lake that is always productive but when I brag about it and invite people out, it turns to be one of the worst lakes I fish. I don't know why that is but its crazy.

Had a similar spot near me (abandoned sand pit) - No rocks, just deep clear water with nice big fish. Everyone's previous bait suggestions are on the money, I would only add approach these fish as quietly as possible. Cast from far away if possible and avoid ANY unecessary noise. If you can see them, they likely are aware of you. Fish in these type of places spook easily. I say HAD a similar spot, the land was bought by a developer, houses going up as we speak One of my area's best fishing spots gone forever.

Tube, Senko, wacky worm, or jigs will all work in clear water with boulderey bottoms.
